The Pet Food Pantry is operated completely by The Lewisburg Animal Alliance. We accept donations of damaged or out of date bags by retail stores such as our local Walmart and Tractor Supply Company, as well as donations from area groups and individuals who wish to donate to us.
Our building is located next to the Lewisburg Animal Shelter, but you must make an appointment with a volunteer to receive help as our pet food pantry is not associated with the shelter at all. A form must be filled out (new forms have been printed for 2020). If you accepted food before you must re-apply if you have not filled out one of the new forms. We must have your application in hand before you can receive food. You must also meet a volunteer in person. No food will be left outside for you to pick up with no one there. Please contact us to make an appointment.
You can call 931-292-2707 to make an appointment with a volunteer. Neither the shelter managers or animal welfare officers have access to the Pet Food Pantry.
Food will only be given out to individuals once a quarter. This is meant to be a supplemental emergency source only and not a free food giveaway on a multi use basis. We have had some abuse of the pantry in the past, so we have had to implement some new policies for 2020.
